- 3⁄4cup uncooked arborio rice
- 2cups full fat milk, divided
- 1⁄3cup dextrose
- 1⁄4teaspoon salt
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1⁄2teaspoon vanilla extract
- In a medium saucepan, bring 1 1/2 cups water to a boil.
- Add rice and stir.
- Reduce heat,cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
- In another saucepan, combine the cooked rice, with 1 1/2 cups milk, dextrose and salt.
- Cook over medium heat until thick and creamy, 15 to 20 minutes.
- Stir in remaining 1/2 cup milk and beaten egg
- Cook 2 minutes more, stirring constantly.
- Remove from heat, and stir in vanilla.
- Serve warm.
