So when the alarm went off at 6, I didn't feel like I was the walking dead. I felt more Courtney Love circa hole period.... just a mess basically for those too young to know what i'm referring too. No prework out for me, just a bite of the coconut and pumpkin muffin which tasted like a shot of coconut oil and I was off. Surprisingly once I got going I felt really good... well as good as someone with the upper body strength of a worm can, when they do a weights session.
My headache was completely dulled today. I could still feel a little pressure in my head but nothing at all compared to the last 3 days. So with this new found love of life, I was happy to head to the shops (in nap time) with the 1 year old to get some rice puffs to make our lcm bars today. Even when she went all diva and refused to be seen in the trolly, I didn't feel stressed just slowed down the pace to an ants crawl and let her walk beside me.
I also haven't felt like softdrink today. To clear up how much softdrink I would consume (a friend was like woah, you sound like some softdrink junkie...) I would probably only have 1.5 glasses a day. I just always have a bottle of sugar free whatever flavour/brand in the fridge. I might also have the occasional can at work but
that would be 1 day a week if that. I measured a standard cup in our cupboard and it holds 200mls, so say I drink 300mls a day, that is 2100mls a week or 2.1L... So yeh, I guess it does add up.
Soft drink demon, your evil talons are losing their grip on me.
I also made some LCM bars today and they turned out pretty good for someone who once again fails to follow a recipe properly... (and I wonder why my husband works away from home...) I didn't melt the rice malt syrup first, I just added it to the macadamia nuts that had been chopped and put them in the saucepan together over the heat. It didn't really affect the taste ,just made the mixture more dense so the puffed rice didn't have as much liquid to hold it together. I only had a little taste of this, as it recommends not to have any sugar alternatives till after you've detoxed. I cant wait for my little man to get back from camping and get his opinion on all this sugarfree food. To be honest I'm getting a little over the 1 year olds attitude. I swear she thinks she is Gordan Ramsay and I'm waiting for her first sentence to be "Get this f#$%n excuse for paleo bread out of my kitchen.. you f@%$^^n amateur...."
So what did I eat today?
1/2 coconut muffin
Handfull macadamia nuts
I left my leftovers at my parents last night, which meant it was a hat trick for the sausage sanga!! Go you good thing.... Alas no sausages left in the fridge anymore. I will miss you my beautiful friend.
I swapped it up tonight, as I have a late game of oztag and need to be eating by 6pm. This means no major mucking around in the kitchen so the afternoon/night could remain headache free.. I went for the chicken bowl.. Oh it was good. So fresh. My tastebuds had been yearning for something like this. I took out the coconut oil, as I'm a little oiled out to be honest and it was such a good choice. So simple.
No thank you
Day 4 of no sugar and my head is back in the game baby
No softdrink cravings at all
Headache just about gone but nearly came back when I had to stand between 2 people in line at the servo discussing how the price in fuel is related to Tony Abbott, the muslims, the boat people and a goat named steve.....
The one year old has been a bit of a fridge bandit again today... hope I'm feeding her enough
The cat is still being an a$$hole
