I then got the guilts for my little feast and decided to hit the pavement for a 6km jog. I hadn't been for a jog for a long time because jogging with a pram is crap. However today hubby was home and offered to take the kids so I could go. I love running. Its my me time. Where I put the headphones on and off I go. Its just me and my brain and we tell each other lots of stories. My brain likes to tell me that I'm about to die and I should walk but my legs always keep going. Thats when I turn the music up even louder and break out my on the run drum solos and if I'm really feeling it, some shoulder shimmies (I would look like a total d*ck to those driving past).
So what else did I eat today?
I had greek yoghurt, nuts and coconut flakes for breakfast. I can't do the cheesy biscuits they are too salty. Its like you need a huge drink of water with each bite. The 6 year old had one in his lunch today and it came home with a bite out of it. I asked him what happened and he told me that his mouth decided that it had enough, as it was too "cheesy"...
For lunch at work I had left over butter chicken on some sour dough bread with avocado. It was really good. I also had an anzac biscuit and a handful of potato chips.
Hubby decided that he wanted to help me out tonight as I've been doing it a little tough with the 1 year old having asthma now and a cold (dam you daycare). So sleep has been lacking for me and the 1 year old. We love staying up all night coughing and spluttering... its our favourite pastime. So the husband offered to cook dinner because he is such a good kid. Dinner was lemon ricotta pasta with chicken and a side of green veges. OH WOW!! This has to be my favourite dinner since I started this journey and not because I didn't cook it. It honestly was perfection and the 6 year old went back for seconds, so thats saying something!!
The funny thing was after we had eaten I told my husband how hungry I was today and he said that he woke up at 2:30am starving. So it seems the previous nights dinner of cauliflower base pizza really wasn't that filling and I think it started off our mission to eat everything in sight. Add to that the husband got up at sparrows crack to go for a bike ride and him also being awake when the 1 year old was. It looks like we both get the urge to eat when we are tired and exhausted.
Bonus is that in the past, this would have resulted in chocolates and definitely a stop off for some takeaway on the way home from work.
Can and will devour raspberry loaf slice in 5 sec flat
Cheesy biscuits are now added to my list of never to make again (that list is currently coconut and macadamia muffins, pumpkin and coconut muffins, raspberry ripple, paleo bread and now cheesy biscuits)
Probably have the best air drum solo when jogging that anyone has ever seen
Must make sure my playlist is never on shuffle OR delete wiggles album from my phone, jogging to Big Red Car was torture
Lemon Ricotta Pasta and Chicken is my new fav food
I can't wait for a full nights sleep....
