Breakfast needs were:
Limited cooking on the day
Can be used over multiple days
Lunch needs were:
Leftovers preferably from the night before for me
Lunchbox friendly for the kids
Makes those sitting next to me jealous
Dinner needs were:
Not spicy, so the whole family can enjoy
Must make leftovers
Not hugely complicated
Preferably made by someone who isn't me, preferably someone with a 6 pack and likes to cook without a shirt on.
Dessert (THE MOST IMPORTANT MEAL OF THE DAY)
Something to comfort my mourning tastebuds
But nothing too comforting that I creep out at 4am and devour it all by fridge light.
So with that in mind and also knowing that it is school holidays this week, I painstakingly picked my meals. In picking these recipes I realised I was going to have to have a day called Crap-urday. A day set aside to attempt to make the muffins and bread (eww I just said I would make my own bread) ready to roll for the week ahead.
I honestly think I'm aiming too high and may be setting myself up for a fail but HOLY SUGAR BALLS, I only today realised how much I rely on pre-packaged food etc to sustain me and how much preparation goes into creating real food.
I am also hoping to post a shopping list (which I was rudely stopped in the midst of doing) as I heard an evil cackle coming from the 1 year olds room. She decided to take off her nappy and paint me the most amazing mural in poo over the side of her cot.......Children truly are the gift that just keeps on giving.... So hopefully I can have that up by tonight.
You can find this weeks meal plan in the MEAL PLAN RECIPE section. Please comment if you feel the need. I'm off to clean up poo... oh yeh my Thursdays better than yours!!
